75 Ball Bingo

The 75-ball bingo game is best known in the USA & Canada because it gets played mostly at venues in North America.

How 75 Ball Bingo Works

Wherever the bingo game originated, it’s still famous worldwide and works well online and offline. Like 90-ball bingo, it works the same way as any bingo variant: the numbers get called, and you must mark them off on your bingo ticket.

75 Ball Bingo – Whats The Difference

However, unlike 90-ball bingo which is limited to playing for lines or the full house, 75-ball bingo offers many different ways to play. The reason for this is the design of the bingo ticket. 75 Balls allows for making various patterns and winning a game by being the first player to mark off all the numbers on your ticket to complete the pre-determined pattern.

75 Ball Bingo Ticket Info

A 75-ball bingo ticket is a grid of five rows and five columns. There are 25 squares, but not all get filled with numbers between 1 and 75.

It is because the middle square is usually a free square. It can vary from site to site, though.

A ticket for 75 balls has the word B I N G O above the rows, and the numbers for each letter are:

• B is host to the 1 to 15 numbers inclusive.
• I contain the numbers 16 to 30 inclusive.
• N has the numbers 31 to 45 inclusive
• G has the numbers 46 to 60 inclusive.
• O is host to the numbers 61 to 75 inclusive.

Again, this can vary from brand to brand but, for the most part, will only differ by a couple of numbers.

Winning A Game Of 75 Ball Bingo

When it comes to enjoying 75-ball bingo at your favourite online bingo site, winning differs from game to game, depending on the pattern set by the bingo site you are playing in.

Pattern 75 Ball Bingo

In the example below from a Dragonfish Bingo page, the pattern getting played for is the Sun. To be a winner on the ticket in the sample, you would need to match the following numbers:

B 9, 11 and 4
All the numbers in columns I, N and G
O 62, 74 and 69

Multi-Part 75 Ball Bingo

Some sites also do a three-part game called multi-part 75 ball bingo. It is like the three chances to win on 90 balls, but with patterns. You have three different patterns that you can win on. In one example, these were the Sub Pattern, Coffee Mug, and Coverall (the full house in 75 balls).

Below is the Sub Pattern example, and you can see that you would need just five numbers to win the first part of the prize pot:

B 11, 6 and 10
I 30 and 21

Swedish / Five-Line Bingo

This version of the bingo game is relatively new to the online bingo space, only introduced in about 2011. However, it’s probably the most popular version, the reason is simple: it offers the most ways to win! The clue is in the game name – five-line bingo.

Instead of the maximum prizes of multi-part, you have five chances to win in this game: the one line, two lines, three lines, four lines and five lines (coverall or full house) prize.

There are variables to the 75-ball game depending on the site you choose to play at in so far as some might offer the same prize value for each line while others increase the prize pot for the lines won.

The first-line win can also vary from site to site. Some may have a straight horizontal option, whereas others only accept the diagonal and vertical for the first line.

Jackpots And Prizes

Whichever type of 75 balls you play, the prizes’ value varies depending on the site you are playing at, the ticket prices, and the number of players buying tickets.

Like 90-ball bingo, some 75-ball bingo games may be promotional and offer a guaranteed cash jackpot.

Additionally, they may also provide a tangible prize like a car. The number of tickets sold does not pre-determine the prize value when this happens.

You may also find progressive jackpots on offer for 75 ball games. Winning gets achieved by calling coverall, or a full house, in a pre-determined number of calls or less.

Progressive jackpots grew by a proportion of the ticket value from the standard prize pot and added to the progressive jackpot.

All of the above makes the 75-ball bingo game an excellent entertainer that millions of bingo players enjoy offline and online.
